Join fellow alumni in your city for an informal evening of networking. Make new connections, see old friends, explore opportunities
There's no better time to be connected to the network - welcome recent graduates and meet other alumni in your city for an evening of networking in a relaxed and fun setting.
The current list of HBS Global Networking Night locations is now available.
Purpose
• To bring together HBS alumni through a series of informal events in cities throughout the world
What do we want to accomplish?
• Reinforce the power of the HBS network and importance of staying connected in these challenging times
• Provide an easy and fun mechanism for alumni to participate in social, business or career networking in their local geographies
• Promote local alumni Clubs
• Generate buzz around the new alumni directory and promote profile updates
How will this work?
• Clubs and/or local alumni will serve as local hosts. Local hosts are responsible for:
o Selecting an appropriate venue for the event - these events will be no-host food/drink unless the club chooses to subsidize
o Serving as communication liaison with Alumni Relations and local alumni
o Managing social media traffic (or designating someone to do so)
o Managing registration and attendee lists
o Managing name tags
o HBS will provide “Hosting Tips” for all hosting Clubs/individuals
• Events are free and open to all HBS alumni and their guests only. No recruiters or external companies.
• International locations can decide to hold their events anytime in the 24 hour period of October 21, 2009 12:00am to October 22, 2009 12:00am
• HBS to provide “Welcome to the HBS Global Networking Night” signs and cocktail napkins
Marketing and Promotion
HBS Global Networking Night will be promoted by the School to all alumni.
Stay tuned for a series of programming (What is networking, How to network, etc.) offerings.
What does your Club need to do?
• Email alumni_clubs@hbs.edu by July 15 to let us know if your Club is interested in serving as the local host.
