Dear Club Officer,

Greetings from HBS! There’s lots of activity in the Clubs community – VLS, Alumni New Venture contest, Young Alumni Ambassadors, Alumni Forums, Net Promoters Score….and the list goes on and on. While our Club Connections calls are a great way to stay connected during the year, there’s nothing better than coming together and sharing our ideas in person. We hope that each Club will send a representative to campus on June 2 for the 2010 Club Officers Leadership Conference.

In brief:

• COLC Save the date! June 2 and June 3, 2010 - Club Presidents will be receiving a poll to gauge your club's participation and attendance.


• 7 Club regions (San Francisco, NY, Boston, Chicago, Southern California, London and India) are conducting local contests to select their regional team who will compete at HBS on April 26 in the finals of the 2010 Alumni New Venture Contest.


• Young Alumni Ambassadors – Alumni Relations and the MBA Admissions Office have formed a partnership to develop the Young Alumni Ambassadors initiative. The YAA program is structured to tap the most recent graduating class (2009) to help HBS with various outreach efforts – including reaching out to prospective students and most importantly, building stronger connections between the Alumni Clubs and recent graduates. We have recently identified Young Alumni Ambassadors who are interested in getting involved in Alumni Club Activities. It is our hope that you will welcome these volunteers as advisors to the Club as they provide feedback and guidance on what is meaningful to young alumni (social events, career planning, programs, etc.). In the coming weeks, the HBS Clubs Team will be contacting those Clubs who have YAA volunteers in their region and working with them to organize the first YAA event. Please contact Pete Mumma (pmumma@hbs.edu) with questions.
